ClubCISO welcomes new Advisory Board Chair – Dr Jess Barker

Jess will replace former ClubCISO Chairman Marc Lueck who has served as ClubCISO Chair since 2016. Marc has been the driving force behind many ClubCISO initiatives including the Live Vote and instrumental in developing greater opportunities for member engagement.

When I caught up with Marc last week he had the following to say on Jess’s appointment to Chair, “I’m really pleased that Jess is taking over. She comes from a different area of cybersecurity; she’s been practising the “human side” of cybersecurity for quite some time now…it’s been a fascinating experience to get to know Jess”.

Clive Room Advisory Board member made comment on Marc’s tenure, “Marc presided over a very positive time in ClubCISO development, we’ve seen the Membership rise, but also an increase in the interaction of the Membership”.

The appointment of Dr Jess Barker to Chair of ClubCISO will no doubt provide greater exposure of ClubCISO findings in the media and throughout the security industry. Providing opportunities for ClubCISO and our members to be recognised as the go to “experts” within the security industry.

The transition will be effective from the 1 April 2019 and the official hand over of duties will take place at the 6^th Annual ClubCISO Security Maturity Live Vote event on the 20 March, 5pm @ the Bulgari Hotel. Click to secure your voting seat.
